User Information

We do not ask for personal details such as your name, email address, telephone number or postal address. Preferences, widget settings and the selected location may be stored locally on your device to provide the app’s features. They are not sent to PlouifaSoft servers.

Location and Time Zone

You can manually select a town or location, or ask the app to use your device’s current location to retrieve the weather forecast and time information for the relevant time zone. The current location is not obtained automatically or continuously in the background: the user initiates access using the refresh button. Once the required location has been obtained, location access stops and does not continue running in the background. You can also disable location permission in Android settings.

Location is used for the weather feature and is not sent to or stored on any PlouifaSoft server. Depending on the weather service used, the selected location or geographical information derived from the current location may be transmitted to that provider to retrieve the forecast.

Internet Access and Weather

Internet access is used to retrieve weather information. Network requests occur when the user presses the refresh button or at the time of day scheduled by the user for an update. PlouifaSoft does not use Internet access for other purposes, hidden tracking or information collection. Weather requests may send the location needed by the provider to respond. Weather information may be handled temporarily or cached on the device.

Background Images and Local Storage

If requested by the user, RellotCat accesses device storage to select an image and display it as the widget background. The image is stored locally in the area assigned to the app by the operating system. It is not shared or used for any other purpose. App and widget settings may also be stored locally. This information can generally be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings.

Widgets and Customization

You can configure multiple widgets independently, including different locations, time zones, designs, backgrounds, colours, fonts and weather displays. These preferences are used locally to display the widget and are not sent to PlouifaSoft. Tapping the time may open the device’s clock app, and tapping weather information may open an appropriate weather app. External apps have their own privacy policies.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

RellotCat displays advertisements provided by third parties, specifically Google AdMob. These services may automatically collect and process device and app-interaction information to serve and measure ads, limit ad frequency, prevent fraud and maintain service security. Depending on the provider, device settings and applicable consent choices, this may include IP address, advertising or device identifiers, app-interaction information and diagnostic data. Such processing is carried out by the providers under their own policies and applicable law.

Advertising Consent

Where required by applicable law, the app uses a consent-management solution so users can choose how information is processed for advertising purposes. In the European Economic Area and other regions where required, consent preferences may be requested before ads are shown or certain processing is permitted. Available choices and the related processing depend on the integrated advertising services and applicable legal requirements. Depending on settings and consent, providers may process device identifiers or IP addresses, for example to limit ad frequency, detect invalid clicks or fraud, and keep consent records where legally required.

Automatic Collection, Analytics and Tracking

PlouifaSoft does not use app data to build user profiles or track users for its own purposes, and does not sell or rent user information. RellotCat does not use Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics. Advertising providers may perform ad measurement, diagnostics and fraud prevention under their own policies.

Data Sharing

PlouifaSoft does not sell, rent or share user information for its own purposes. Information may be transmitted to external services when necessary to provide a feature the user uses, such as retrieving weather forecasts or displaying ads. External providers are responsible for their own processing and privacy policies.

Security, Retention and Children’s Privacy

RellotCat does not maintain a server containing accounts, personal profiles or location histories. Local data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in Android settings. Data processed by third-party weather or advertising services is subject to their retention periods and policies. PlouifaSoft takes reasonable measures to protect information under its control but cannot guarantee the security practices of independent providers. RellotCat is a general-purpose clock and weather widget; external services may have their own age restrictions and privacy requirements.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app, third-party services, legislation or privacy practices. Any new version will be published on this page with an updated date.
